You know all the movies with Santa in them and the message to children about believing in him? Well, no, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with those movies in themselves--I even own a few movies with that sort of message. But, I want to make clear is that I think what really matters is not whether or not you believe in Santa Clause, but that we believe in the Reason for the Season: the celebration of Jesus Christ's coming to earth so that He could make Salvation possible one day. I think that it's easy to place Jesus as the central "character" behind Christmas with Santa--Remember the Reason for the Season, folks. And have a blessed Christmas.

ETA: I also wanted to include this poem my pastor shares with the church every year on the service closest to Christmas Day: T'was the Night Before Jesus Came T'was the night before Jesus came and all thru the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.
When out of the east there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!
The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in His hand. Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name, When He said "It's not here" my head hung in shame.
The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound, While the rest were left standing around
I fell to my knees, but it was to late, I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight, Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.
In the words of this poem the meaning is clear, The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call, We'll find that the Bible was true after all! By: Audrey Patricia Woolverton
happy birthday jesus! i belive in santa clause, though, because i know that jesus knows i love him with all my heart and i never will stop loving him, and i like to think that santa is like...either he is jesus's helper or jesus is him in a way. u never know who jesus might be, am i right?
...well, St. Nikolaus (Santa Claus) is a catholic popular saint who was caring for the poor giving away his wealth.+- His day is the 6th of December and we still celebrate it in Austria by giving a bag of dry fruit and gingerbread to the children (that is how I lived it 40 years ago) Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth and has nothing to do with believing or not in santaclaus and the tricks of increasing sales.
Give from the heart and keep it simple...might be a good start. Legends are culture, we do not know what will be today's legend.
